Meri Aawaaz — Your Child's Voice, Anytime, Anywhere

Meri Awaaz is a free, offline-first AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) app built for non-verbal and minimally-verbal children, including children with autism and apraxia of speech. It gives your child a fast, reliable way to be heard — no internet, no account, and no subscription required.

WHY ME AWAAZ
Speech therapy access is limited and costly for most Indian families. Meri Aawaaz brings evidence-based AAC practice — based on LAMP motor planning, aided-language stimulation, and TEACCH-style visual supports — to any low-cost Android phone, in Hindi and English.

CORE COMMUNICATION BOARD
• Tap picture-word tiles arranged in fixed, predictable positions, so your child builds real motor memory — tiles never move or reshuffle between levels.
• Hindi and English boards are kept in perfect position parity, ideal for bilingual and code-switching households.
• Natural neural text-to-speech voices, with a dependable fallback chain (recording → cached voice → live neural voice → phone's built-in voice) so the app never goes silent.
• Add your own cards: take a photo and record your own or a caregiver's voice for any word — perfect for family names, favorite foods, or local context words a generic app would never have.
• Optional downloadable board packs to add more languages/vocabularies over time.

• Touch accommodations: adjustable hold-duration, debounce, and select-on-press/release, tuned for children with motor-planning differences.
• Switch scanning support for children who use a single switch instead of direct touch.
• Optional gentle haptic tap confirmation.
• Speak-on-tap toggle and a quiet "modeling mode" so parents/therapists can demonstrate board use without it counting as the child's own usage.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
Meri Aawaaz has no ads, no analytics, no cloud accounts, and no gamification or reward animations — this is your child's voice, not a game. Every photo and voice recording you add stays only on your device. Internet access is used only for optional one-time voice-pack or board-pack downloads; nothing about your child is ever collected, uploaded, or shared.
