Users appreciate the ease of installation and scheduling features of the HALO Home app, along with good light quality. However, many report persistent and repeated connectivity issues, unreliable scheduling, slow and unstable Bluetooth control requiring phone screen to remain active, and challenges with app login and updates. Firmware upgrades often fail, and the app may crash or not open. Overall, the lack of reliability, coupled with poor customer support, frustrates users despite the lights themselves being well regarded.

Recent reviews

This app is mediocre. It doesn't always connect to my devices. What is really rough is that if you get a fancy Halo Home smart down light / Halo Home Voice, you need to load a different app that hasn't been updated since 2020. If you have a phone that you've update in the last year, you get the message "this app was written for an older version of Android" and you can't use it. Which means that you can't use the $250 ceiling speaker you bought. I reached out to Cooper and- nothing.

Excellent app!! never had a problem with any of its functions. I installed 35 Halo recessed lights (interior and exterior) all over my house a year ago. Easy to connect the light with the app. Easy to set schedule for the lights to turn on and off. I am Very happy with both the light and the app. I wish if Halo can expand their products line.
