SleepMix: Sleep Sounds Mixer

A sleep sound app for nights when sleep will not come.

Layer rain, waves and white noise, up to five at once, into a mix that is yours.

■ Your own blend, layer by layer
Play up to five of the 14 sounds together. Set each one to its own volume, mute one for a moment, or solo it to hear it alone. Save a blend you like and bring it back with one tap the next night.

■ The sounds
Nature: Light Rain, Heavy Rain, Thunder, Ocean Waves, Forest, River
Noise: White Noise, Pink Noise, Brown Noise
Objects: Fan, Wind Chimes, Heartbeat
Everyday: Cafe, Train

■ Sleep timer
Set a time and playback stops there. The sound does not cut out; it fades away over the last stretch, so the silence never wakes you the way a hard stop does. You choose how long that fade lasts.

■ Keeps playing with the screen off
Pause and resume from the lock screen or the notification. While a mix plays the screen dims on its own, so it does not light up the room for whoever is sleeping next to you.

■ Works without a connection
Every sound ships inside the app. It plays in airplane mode, on a dead data plan, and out of signal range.

■ Sleep log
Sessions are recorded as you listen. See your total listening time, your daily average, and the sound you reach for most.

■ Easy on the eyes at night
Choose a dark or light theme, or follow your system setting. A pure black mode is there for OLED screens and the battery they spend on bright pixels.

■ Bedtime reminder
A quiet notification at a time you pick. Turn it off whenever you like.

■ About ads
There are no ads on the mixer or while a mix is playing. Nothing interrupts you as you are falling asleep.
A few sounds unlock after a short ad.

Sleep well.
