Most password managers sync your secrets to someone else's servers. Pocket Safe is an offline password manager by design: there is no sign-up, no subscription, and no way for anyone — including us — to see your data.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

Every password and note is encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM. The key is protected by your biometric or screen lock and stored in Android's hardware-backed Keystore. Without you, the vault stays locked — even if someone else has your phone. Backup files are protected with a separate passphrase using PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 at 150,000 iterations, so an exported backup stays safe even if the file is exposed.

We don't run servers. We can't read your data. We can't recover your vault if you lose your phone — because it was never anywhere but your device.
