This app has been painstakingly developed by dedicated professionals in their field. These physiotherapists have 15+ Years experience, 10+ years experience as a rugby player at school and club level as well as 7+ years experience as field side physiotherapists. In all that time, there have been consistent themes.
These themes prompted and created a need for further monitoring:
* Confusion surrounding concussions and the recovery process
* Lack of continuity of treatment due to lack of funds or access to medical advice
* Players returning before they are ready due to ineffective or non-existent return-to-play protocol
* Inconsistent information between healthcare providers

After testing a basic version of feedback and symptom monitoring, this app was developed. The key Functions are as follows:
* Symptoms response
* Symptom monitoring
* Player progression monitoring through RTP (Return to play)
* Data collection and collaboration throughout post concussion recovery process

The following tests are included/used:
* Balance testing
* Visual testing
* Memory recall
* Reaction times
* Symptom scoring

The App is designed to be user friendly so that a player/client can track their own symptoms and relay feedback in real time to the relevant person (doctor/physio/coach/parent) involved in their management. Players/Parents/coaches/medical staff will be able to use it to track symptom responses to stimuli or load during the recovery process. The app will then provide information and data collected during their progression.

Liability
As this App does contain a large deal of subjective feedback, all parties involved need to be protected. App users will take full liability for responses recorded, as any false information given, whether it be timelines or symptom responses, could prove detrimental to their health and safety. Safety mechanism: regardless of their progress, the App will not clear the user before 3 weeks (21 days). SARU’s minimum requirements for a schoolboy concussion. The App will have a secondary email for the coach or medical staff. This allows the school to have a record of the user’s progress.
The purpose of this App is not to replace medical personnel, but to ensure correct and continuous monitoring of players so that their recovery has been optimised and the RTP protocol has been implemented correctly and efficiently. The app will then collect and compare data to efficiently monitor a player during the RTP protocol. The main aim is to protect our players/sportsman.
