PulseTorch is a simple and private wellness app that helps you estimate your pulse, recovery, body load, calm level and arousal level using your phone’s rear camera and flashlight.

Place your fingertip over the rear camera, keep still for a short measurement, and PulseTorch analyzes brightness changes from your finger to estimate your heart rate, signal quality, rhythm and stability.

PulseTorch works locally on your device. Camera data is processed during the measurement and is not uploaded to any server.

For best results, cover the rear camera fully, keep your finger still, do not press too hard, rest your hand or phone on a stable surface and measure while sitting calmly.
