Tax Exempt

This app is available for use by diplomats stationed in Japan and their spouses.
When making tax exemption purchases, a handwritten 'Certificate of Tax Exemption Purchase for Foreign Establishments' is usually required, but at stores that have introduced a 'tax exemption purchasing web system', simply presenting the 2D code issued by this app will eliminate the need to present a tax exemption card or fill out 'Certificate of Tax Exemption Purchase for Foreign Establishments' by hand.
However, at stores that have not introduced the 'tax exemption purchasing web system', you will still need to create a handwritten 'Certificate of Tax Exemption Purchase for Foreign Establishments'.
Please note that even when making tax-exempt purchases using this app, it is still necessary to present your ID card as usual.

This app requires activation based on your identity information, such as your tax exemption card number.
Once activated, you will be able to use the function to issue 2D codes for Designated Store and the function to search for Designated Store.
*To misuse, the app collects the unique device identifier (UDID) of the device (smartphone) on which it is installed.

1. 2D Code Issuing Function (2D Code issue)
This function issues the 2D code to be presented at Designated Store.

2. Store Search Function (DS Search)
You can search for Designated Store by entering part of the store's name, selecting an industry category, or choosing a prefecture.
Additionally, the nearby store search function uses the device's location information.
*The location information is only used to compare with the store's location information within the device and is not collected.
*Search results for Designated Store may not necessarily be stores that have introduced a 'tax exemption purchasing web system'. Additionally, store location information may not always be accurate.

This app can be used by diplomats and their spouses stationed in Japan.
At the time of tax-free purchase, customers are required to create a handwritten tax-free purchase form, but at stores that have introduced a tax-free purchase system, if you present the two-dimensional code issued by this app to the store, you will be asked to present your tax-free card or receive a tax-free purchase. There is no need to create a purchase list by hand.
However, stores that do not have a tax-free purchase system will still need to hand-write a tax-free purchase form.
Please note that even if you use this app to make tax-free purchases, you will still need to present your ID card.
