Why MUST I give permissions for Contacts on my personal phone when this is used ONLY FOR business.

This app can't even keep up with my typing. There's a several second delay when I'm just trying to send a text message. It's got some kind of key-logger or something that is just slowing down the text as I type it. It's infuriating. Like typing on a computer in the 1980's.
