COXMOVE Conductor

COXMOVE Driver is the work app for taxi drivers affiliated with the COXMOVE platform in Ecuador.

This app is NOT for passengers. Passengers request a taxi by messaging their radio taxi company on WhatsApp; they don't need to install anything.

YOU NEED AN ACCOUNT FROM YOUR RADIO TAXI COMPANY
It's not possible to register through the app. Your radio taxi company creates the account after verifying your information and your vehicle's details. You log in with your ID number and the PIN provided by the dispatch center. If you want to work with an affiliated radio taxi company, request registration from their dispatch center.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Start and stop your shift with a single tap.

- Receive nearby ride offers with the pickup location listed by name and, when available, the route from your current location to that location.

- Accept or decline each offer. The first person to accept gets the ride; if someone else takes it first, the app will clearly notify you.

- Navigate to your destination using in-app navigation, without switching to another app.

- Mark your arrival (the app can automatically mark your arrival when it detects you're at the destination) and notify the passenger.

- Call or message your passenger via WhatsApp.

- End the trip, cancel it with a reason, or register that the passenger didn't show up.

- Report a problem with a trip for review by your taxi company's staff.

- View and accept scheduled rides and freight requests, if your taxi company offers these services.

- Review your trip history and your daily and weekly goals.

- Check in "My Account" to ensure your phone permissions are configured correctly and request assistance from your dispatch center.

LOCATION TRACKING WHILE ONLINE
To offer you nearby rides, guide you to the pickup point, and show your taxi to the passenger during the ride, the app collects your precise location, even when the app is closed or not in use, but only while you are ONLINE. While your location is being shared, you will see a persistent notification, which includes a "Log Out" button. When you log out, it stops being sent.

The app may also ask for permission to display the offer even when the screen is locked, and it explains how to disable battery saver mode in your phone's settings so it doesn't interrupt your turn when the taxi is stopped. If you don't do this, the app will continue to function and tell you what you might miss.

PRICES
The prices shown in the app are for reference only. The fare is determined by your taxi's meter and the current rate set by the local authority.

SERVICE AREA
Offers are sent within your radio taxi's service area. You will not receive new rides outside of this area.

REQUIREMENTS
- Active account provided by an affiliated radio taxi company.

- Android phone with GPS and internet connection.

- Use by adults with a valid taxi driver's license and authorization.
