Wikicast reads Wikipedia articles aloud using the text to speech (TTS) engine on your Android device.

Many articles take only a few minutes to read. So download a bunch of articles, and make them into a Playlist that you can listen to continuously.

Think other people might find your selection of articles interesting? Publish your playlist as a Wikicast so that other users can enjoy these collections as well! You can share your Wikicasts anonymously, or set a username to get credit as the Editor of your shared playlist.

Going on a long road trip without internet access? You can download all the articles you need to your device while you have a connection, and they will be available to listen to later. Make as many playlists, or download as many articles as you like.

To add interesting articles to your library, you can search Wikipedia from within the app, or share links to the app directly from your Web Browser.

The app uses the text-to-speech engine on your device. On many devices, the stock voice sounds robotic, but you can install different voices with a range of much more natural sounding accents.
