Overgrowth: Ecosystem Sim

Welcome to the Andromeda Galactic Science Fair.

Overgrowth is an ecosystem game about keeping a tiny alien world alive long enough to finish your science project before the judges arrive.

Your experiment is home to Treants, herbivores, and predators. They feed, reproduce, age, sleep, and compete for survival. One population boom can starve another species. One extinction can collapse the entire food chain.

YOUR GOAL

Keep every species alive for as long as possible while the ecosystem becomes more complex around you.

CONTROL THE IMBALANCE

Use controlled natural disturbances and recovery tools to keep the experiment from falling apart:

• Strike overcrowded populations with lightning
• Reseed lost forests with Bullet Seeds
• Create lakes, grow Treants, and stop fires with rain
• Remove dangerous population clusters with meteors
• Slow down or speed up time while you observe the ecosystem

LEARN A CHANGING ECOSYSTEM

New conditions make each experiment harder. Add predators to complete the food chain. Enable deeper simulation layers that increase realism and challenge as populations interact in unexpected ways.

Every run creates a different chain of consequences. Too many herbivores can erase a forest. Too many predators can destroy their own food supply. A badly timed intervention can make things worse. Sometimes a natural disturbance is exactly what the ecosystem needs.

BUILD YOUR RESEARCH

At the end of each experiment, receive an observation about what happened. Save useful findings, compare experiments, improve your strategy, and prepare your research for the Galactic Science Fair.

Overgrowth is not an idle game. Watch closely, understand the food web, intervene carefully, and discover how long your ecosystem can survive.
