Coldfuse: Merge Puzzle

Coldfuse is a merge puzzle with no luck in it.

In most tile-merging games a random tile drops in after every move, so you react instead of thinking. Coldfuse has none. Every level starts with a fixed set of pieces and nothing new ever appears. What you see is the whole problem — and it always has a solution.

All 72 levels were verified by exhaustive search before release. Not "probably solvable" — proven, with the exact minimum number of moves computed for each one. That minimum is your three-star target, so a perfect run really is perfect: no shorter solution exists.

WHAT'S ON THE BOARD

- Wall — splits a row in two. Tiles cannot pass through it or merge across it.
- Crate — blocks the way like a wall, until a tile pushes into it and breaks it in one hit or two.
- Anchor — never moves, whichever way you swipe. Merge an equal tile into it and it thaws.
- Doubler — doubles the tile that stops on it, then vanishes. It fires after a merge too, so 2 + 2 landing here gives you 8.
