I don't think it matters much because it's easy to follow and get basic understanding what's what and how it works. I can do coding in PHP mysql html JavaScript etc, but if you know basics what programming is all about this is good introduction to cpp, and logically even if it's outdated, still gives good starting point. And all the downsides will filter out

Not only is the C++ taught in this app now four revisions out of date (pre C++ 11), some of it is also just plain wrong. For example, it shows catching polymorphic exception types by value rather than by const reference; causing "slicing". It also teaches concepts that are the domain of C, which have no place in modern C++, thus teaching a whole new generation of C++ programmers bad technique. Avoid!
