MetroBus Coimbra is an independent app built by a commuter. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized by any government agency, public entity, or transit operator, including Metro Mondego, AGIT, Sistema de Mobilidade do Mondego, or SMTUC.

MetroBus Coimbra brings all departures at your stop together onto a single board: inbound towards the city center on one side, outbound towards Serpins on the other. It tracks all three lines in one place, providing a live countdown to the next vehicle along with the subsequent two trips, and explicitly marks terminal stops for short-turn services.

Since September 10, 2026, the network features three dedicated lines: the Blue Line (Coimbra-B – Serpins), the Red Line (Praça da República – Serpins), and the Green Line (linking Praça da República to Coimbra-B across the Baixa district).

Offline-Ready
Schedules are downloaded on launch and cached locally alongside the offline network map. Once initially synced, the entire app functions without an active internet connection.

Estimated Times Notice
Real-time vehicle telemetry (live GPS) is currently not made available by the operators. Departure countdowns and plotted vehicle locations are modeled estimates derived from official timetables and your device's system time. For critical connections, always cross-reference official operator schedules.

Privacy-First
No account creation, no advertising, no tracking SDKs, and no telemetry. Location access is processed strictly on-device solely to prioritize nearby stops—it is never logged or transmitted externally. Network activity is limited entirely to fetching timetable updates and official service advisories.

The Metrobus service is operated by Metro Mondego, S.A. as part of the Sistema de Mobilidade do Mondego. Line names, station names, and related trademarks are used solely to identify the transit service.
