LoftLedger: Pigeon Pedigree

Your loft on your phone. LoftLedger is a record book for racing and show pigeon fanciers: every bird on a card by its ring number, your pairings and youngsters, race results with velocities, a health log with reminders, and a pedigree you can view on screen or, on the full plan, export as a five-generation PDF.

THE PEDIGREE
Open any bird and its pedigree draws itself from the sire and dam on each card, up to five generations deep, showing the ring number, colour and honours you entered for each ancestor. Tap a box to open that bird, or tap an empty box to fill it in. Export it as a clean A4 PDF with your loft name, ready to print or share.

EVERY BIRD, ITS OWN CARD
Ring number as printed, in your federation's own format, name, cock or hen, colour, strain, hatch date, bred by, sire and dam, status, honours, notes and up to six photos. Parents and grandparents you never owned get a card from their ring number alone, kept for pedigrees and never counted as a bird in your loft.

PAIRS AND YOUNGSTERS
Pair a cock and a hen for the season, note the nest box, log the eggs and the hatches. A youngster gets its own card with both parents filled in.

RACES AND VELOCITIES
Add a race with its liberation point, distance and liberation time, then clock your birds in. LoftLedger works out each bird's velocity in yards or metres per minute, counts the time across dates for a bird clocked the next morning, and takes off the night hours you enter. Distance can be typed in miles and yards or kilometres, or estimated from map coordinates. A season table shows each bird's races, fastest velocity and highest placing.

HEALTH LOG
Record vaccines, treatments and supplements for one bird or the whole loft, with the withdrawal days from the product's label and a next-due date. The Health tab lists what is due and what is overdue.

REMINDERS
Reminders for the dates you enter: boosters due, race mornings, expected hatches and ringing the youngsters.

LOFT LEDGER
Sales, purchases, prize money, feed, supplies and club fees, with totals in and out for each season.

YOUR RECORDS STAY YOURS
Your records are stored on your phone. There is no account. Back up every record and photo to one file and restore it on another phone.

PLANS
The standard plan holds up to 20 birds in the loft, with pairs, the health log, reminders, backup and a three-generation pedigree on screen, and a small banner ad on the Races and Health screens. The full loft removes the cap and the ads and adds the five-generation pedigree and its PDF, races and velocities, and the loft ledger. You can try it for 14 days first, with no card. When a trial or plan ends, every record stays readable and editable.

WHAT LOFTLEDGER DOES NOT DO
LoftLedger keeps your own records. It does not check rings, pedigrees or results, does not import from clocking systems or federations, and does not give veterinary advice. Velocities are your own calculation from the distance and times you typed; your club's result is the official one.
