Clavenzo: Private Calls

Clavenzo is a private messenger for encrypted calls, video calls and chat. No phone number. No email. No name. Your phone creates its own identity key, you share a code or a QR, and only the people you choose can reach you.

SECURE BY DESIGN
• Every call gets fresh keys of its own and a post-quantum upgrade once it connects, so a call recorded today stays unreadable later
• Messages, photos and files are encrypted on your phone before they leave it
• Anything tampered with or replayed on the way is detected and thrown away
• Built on proven, widely used open-source cryptography
• Your identity key is sealed by your phone's secure key storage and leaves the phone only if you export it yourself, encrypted
• Chats, photos and contacts stay on your phone. An encrypted backup moves them to a new one; your identity moves by its own export. Without it, a lost phone means a lost identity.

WHAT OUR SERVERS SEE
A small server wakes your phone when someone calls or writes, and holds encrypted messages for a phone that is switched off. It never sees what you say or send. It knows your address, public key and push token, never your name or number. It keeps no call logs, and it forgets: a call invitation after 60 seconds, a waiting message after 72 hours, your registration 30 days after your phone last checks in. Notifications carry no sender and no content.

HONEST ABOUT THE LIMITS
While the server holds an invitation or a waiting message, it and Cloudflare, which it sits behind, can see which two addresses it passes between. On every call, even a relayed one, the other person's app learns your IP address. Someone watching your network can tell that you use Clavenzo. No app can protect a phone that is already compromised, and safety words only work if you read them to each other. Clavenzo has not yet had an independent security audit. The privacy policy lists what the servers keep.
