ClearToken is an app for interacting with machines that use clear token devices. It supports a wide range of token-equipped machines including washers and dryers, parking meters, soda and vending machines, EV chargers, and camping utilities. ClearToken implements the patented "Secure Electronic Payment" technology (Patent #11,308,462 B2) to provide a consistent interface for token-based transactions.
Built for both users and operators, ClearToken streamlines secure electronic payments and interactions with token-enabled hardware. It reduces friction at point-of-service devices, simplifies the user experience for on-site payments, and provides a clear, device-agnostic way to work with token-enabled machines.
Reviews are mixed and largely negative. Users praise quick refunds and friendly customer service, and find the app convenient for avoiding quarters. Common complaints include connection failures with machines, sometimes with charges still applied, and a $10 minimum deposit that is burdensome for small loads. Others report lost balances, unreliable refunds, rude customer service, and no support for international phone numbers. Several reviewers call the app a scam or inconvenient.

i dont get mad easily and have never felt compelled to go full activist against an app and leave a scathing review like a bitter person. and right now i want to use explicit language but just so it doesnt get deleted, ill say this app is egregiously awful. it is the most inconvenient, inconsistent, inefficient, rip-off trash software ive ever dealt with. a classic "if i could give it 0 stars, i would" kind of scenario. its beyond enraging and I hope that every hotel that uses it goes bankrupt...

I've only ever had two minor issues using Cleartoken in the past 1.5 years I've used it, and I got a refund within minutes each time. I see a lot of complaints, but I can only speak for my own experience 🤷🏼♂️
