CipherNote is an encryption, decryption, and private notes app that lets you keep sensitive information and important content safely locked away.

From personal notes to important information you don't want anyone else to see, encrypt it yourself and decrypt it only when you need to. All your data stays on this device — nothing is ever sent to an external server.

🔐 Strong Encryption
Combine a TYPE and a 6-digit number to turn plain text into ciphertext. Only someone who knows the same TYPE and number can decrypt it back.

🔓 Simple Decryption
Paste the ciphertext you received and enter the agreed-upon number — see the original text in seconds.

📝 Private Notes
Your own notebook, protected by a master number. In the list view, content is shown in encrypted form, so no one else can make sense of it without unlocking it first.

🔑 If You Forget Your Master Number
Register a recovery answer in advance so you can regain access to your private notes even if you forget your master number.

💾 Backup & Restore
Export your private notes as a JSON file and import them again — safely keep your data when switching devices or moving it elsewhere.

🛡️ No-Server Design
All encryption and decryption happens entirely on your device. Since nothing is transmitted externally, there's no risk of it being intercepted over a network.

This app does not block screen capture (screenshots or screen recording). Be mindful of who might see your screen in public places.
