Features & Capabilities

The 14IFAF Mobile App is the official digital companion for the 14th Indian Fisheries & Aquaculture Forum (14IFAF), to be held during 18–20 November 2026 at ICAR-CIFA, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Developed for delegates, speakers, researchers, students, policymakers, industry representatives, exhibitors, sponsors, organisers and other stakeholders, the app provides a single-window platform for accessing essential information and real-time updates related to the Forum.

The Forum is organised under the theme “Transforming Fisheries and Aquaculture: Bridging the Science and Society.” It is envisioned as a major national platform for dialogue, collaboration and action on the future of fisheries and aquaculture in India, bringing together science, policy, industry, extension systems, entrepreneurship and farming communities. The event will focus on innovation, sustainability, resilience, inclusiveness, aquatic animal health, biodiversity, climate adaptation, digital technologies, market systems and responsible sectoral growth.

Through the 14IFAF Mobile App, users can conveniently view the complete programme schedule, session details, speaker information, thematic areas, satellite symposia, conclaves, abstract submission updates, registration details, awards information, exhibition details, venue guidance and important announcements. The app will help participants plan their participation, identify relevant technical sessions, follow programme updates and stay connected with the organising team throughout the event.

The app covers major thematic areas of the Forum, including sustainable fisheries management; aquatic biodiversity and genetic resource management; climate change impacts and adaptation; aquaculture diversification; precision farming, automation and digital innovations; fish breeding and reproductive biology; genetic improvement, biotechnology and bioinformatics; aquatic animal health management; fish nutrition and feed technology; post-harvest processing, value addition and waste utilisation; fisheries economics, technology transfer and gender; and fisheries policy, governance, marketing, cooperatives, education and human resource development.

The app will also provide information on satellite symposia and conclaves, including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Internet of Things; PMMSY-Cooperatives Conclave; Industry-Farmers-Scientists Conclave; Regional Partnerships for Sustainable Fisheries under the Bay of Bengal Programme; and Exports, Digital Trade, Traceability and E-Commerce in Fisheries.

Participants can access key dates such as abstract submission opening, abstract submission closing, notification of acceptance, award application deadlines and early bird registration deadlines. The app may also assist users with abstract submission guidelines, registration categories, sponsorship opportunities, exhibition details, accommodation guidance and delegate support information.

The 14IFAF Mobile App is designed to improve communication, reduce information gaps and support a more organised, paper-light and participant-friendly conference experience. It will provide timely alerts, programme reminders, venue-related information and updates from the organisers so that delegates do not miss important sessions, deadlines or announcements.

The app also highlights the host destination by sharing useful information on Odisha’s cultural, spiritual, biodiversity and heritage attractions, including Lingaraj Temple, Shree Jagannath Temple, Konark Sun Temple, Chilika Lake, Nandankanan Zoological Park, Similipal Biosphere Reserve, Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary, Pipili Handicrafts, Kala Bhoomi and Raghurajpur Heritage Village.

By integrating programme information, scientific themes, delegate services, event alerts, venue support and stakeholder engagement features, the 14IFAF Mobile App serves as an essential event companion for all participants of the 14th Indian Fisheries & Aquaculture Forum.
