BrainShield is an on-device focus app and distraction blocker that closes short-form feeds the second they open, blocks adult sites system-wide, and now runs your whole work day for you with an automatic Pomodoro timer. No account. No cloud. No data ever leaves your phone.

A local DNS filter resolves adult domains to nothing — across Chrome, every other browser, and in-app WebViews. It runs on your device as a local VPN. Nothing is routed to a server, because there is no server. Payment and banking apps are excluded automatically so UPI keeps working.

■ WHY BRAINSHIELD NEEDS ACCESSIBILITY ACCESS
BrainShield uses Android's Accessibility service to check what is on screen so it can close a blocked screen — a Reel, a Short, a locked app — the moment it appears. It reads only enough to recognise the screen. It does not read, store, log or transmit your messages, passwords or any personal content. This is the only way an app can detect a screen inside another app on Android, and it is what makes blocking work without root.
