Starry Map

Starry Map is an augmented reality (AR) Chrome extension that transforms your smartphone into a powerful stargazing companion. By simply pointing your phone at the night sky, you can instantly identify stars, constellations, planets, satellites, and other celestial objects, all overlaid directly on your live camera feed.

This intuitive tool includes detailed data on 88 constellations illustrated by Hevelius, stars up to magnitude 12, solar system planets (including dwarf planets and asteroids), over 10,000 satellites, and about 100 Messier objects like nebulae and clusters. It also tracks more than 300 comets, meteor showers, and famous asterisms such as the Summer and Winter Triangles and the Big Dipper.

Starry Map provides helpful alerts for visible ISS passes, Hubble satellite sightings, and meteor shower peaks.
