Chimeward

Follow a mountain shrine path through the morning mist and restore eight spatial chime frames disturbed by the seasonal wind. Chimeward is a portrait puzzle about arranging a visible cadence. With one finger, drag chimes marked by triangle, circle, diamond, square, or wave symbols onto discrete hooks. Read the numbered swing arcs, strike route, rests, and clearance, then press Send Wind to judge the whole arrangement. Preview, animation, sound, and the final report are driven by the same deterministic result rather than by a separate demonstration.

The first release contains eight authored, non-repeating level prototypes. First Tone begins with one ring and three chimes. Crosswind Pair introduces opposing swings and collision clearance. Inner Echo adds concentric depth. Storm Verse uses locked groups across changing wind phases. Silent Bell asks you to preserve a rest while avoiding a forbidden strike. Twin Sails merges two starting patterns. Turning Pagoda tests relative hook positions and rope crossings after rotation. Dawn Chorus combines five rings, twin sails, a rest bridge, frame turns, and a four-phase finale. Difficulty rises through additional information, tighter spatial constraints, and multi-stage pressure, not through color swaps, renamed melodies, or random seeds.

The opening level teaches the full loop in three playable steps: drag the highlighted chime, read the connected number trail, and send the wind yourself. Successful strikes light their nodes in sequence and finish with a clear bell emblem. A failed performance keeps the layout in place and points to the responsible chime, crossing arc, or rope. Shapes, numbers, paths, and captions communicate the cadence without requiring pitch recognition. Reduce Motion replaces continuous swings with discrete poses and static result markers.

Completed frames award Shrine Seals and Wind Knots and unlock one Bell Rubbing tied to that level. The shipped eight-level campaign provides eight earnable rubbings, one for each distinct frame. Wind Choice presents three clauses between successful frames. The selected clause comes from twelve authored next-frame effects and changes timing, clearance, warnings, start markers, or rewards without revealing the correct hook. Optional rewarded ads are limited to restoring a stage, redrawing Wind Choice, or accelerating a reward. They never place a chime or reveal the correct hook. Interstitials are only attempted during non-gameplay navigation and remain subject to cooldown; unavailable ads do not block progress. Every promotional screen is composed from a real Godot Mobile runtime capture. Chimeward does not promise a free camera, real-time rope physics, automatic composition, online multiplayer, or offline high-detail rendering.
