Experience chess like never before. Chess: Fog of War adds a layer of imperfect information to traditional rules — you can only see the squares your pieces control. The rest stays hidden in the fog.

Can you predict enemy moves and plan your strategy without seeing their full board? Outsmart the Oracle AI or challenge a friend in local pass-and-play modes. This is tactical deduction, stealth, and chess strategy combined.

HOW FOG CHESS WORKS
Each piece reveals only the squares it can move to or attack. Pawns see their move and capture squares. Knights see their L-shaped destinations. Bishops, rooks, and queens see along their normal lines. The king sees one adjacent square in every direction. Everything else is fog.

Move through the fog and you may bump into a hidden enemy — capturing them or being blocked. There is no checkmate in fog mode. Capture the enemy king to win. Run out of legal moves and you lose.

• Fog of War vs AI — Face the Oracle under fog (Apprentice, Strategist, or Grandmaster).
• Fog of War PvP — Pass-and-play fog chess on one device.
• Timed Fog vs AI — Fog chess with a chess clock (5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes).
• Timed Fog PvP — Pass-and-play fog chess with a shared chess clock.
• Classic Chess vs AI — Standard rules, full board visibility.
• Classic Chess PvP — Traditional chess for two players on one device.

3 AI DIFFICULTY LEVELS
• Apprentice — Random moves, gentle for beginners learning fog chess.
• Strategist — Tactical depth with multi-ply search.
• Grandmaster — Monte Carlo sampling, iterative deepening, and alpha-beta pruning with aspiration windows. Built to challenge experienced players.

REVIEW, ANALYSE & EXPORT
• Post-game analysis — Step through every move with both players' fog lifted.
• Move history panel — Scroll the full game during review.
• Export PGN — Save and share your game in standard chess notation.
