Classic: Chess Duel

Chess Duel brings the timeless game of chess to your screen with complete rules, clear controls, and multiple difficulty levels for players who want to practice, improve, or simply enjoy a thoughtful board-game challenge.

The game follows standard international chess rules. Two sides take turns moving their pieces across an 8×8 board, with White making the first move. Each side begins with 16 pieces: one king, one queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and eight pawns. The objective is to place the opposing king in checkmate.

Every piece has its own movement pattern. Kings move one square in any direction, queens travel along ranks, files, and diagonals, rooks move horizontally or vertically, bishops move diagonally, and knights move in their distinctive L-shaped pattern while being able to jump over other pieces. Pawns move forward, capture diagonally, and may advance two squares from their starting position.

The game also supports the important special rules that shape real chess play, including castling, en passant, and pawn promotion. When a pawn reaches the far end of the board, it can be promoted to a queen, rook, bishop, or knight.

Choose from different AI difficulty levels to match your current experience. Start with a more approachable opponent while learning the basics, or move up to stronger levels when you want a more demanding challenge.
