Mibu: Solo Travel Abroad

Plan your days abroad and ask travelers nearby when you need local advice.

Leaving the US for Japan, Taiwan or Korea? Save places before you go, organize each day with Mini, and use Plaza and message translation to talk with travelers nearby.

Before you go
• Discover places you may not have searched for with destination gacha
• Learn about each place in the encyclopedia and save the ones you want to visit
• Ask Mini to organize a trip around your companions, time, energy, and preferences

While you travel
• Ask questions, chat, find company, or help one another in the nearby Plaza
• Keep conversations moving with instant translation
• Read the Travelers' Wall for practical notes left at a place
• Keep private notes that belong only to your trip

When you need help
• Start SOS from the Safety Center to notify eligible nearby travelers, your companions, and Mibu support
• With your permission, share updated location information with people who received your request

Mibu does not choose the trip for you. It helps you keep your own pace in an unfamiliar place, with information and people within reach when you need them.

Local partner service

Want someone who knows the area to turn to during your trip? Choose your service area and dates. After purchasing local partner service, use the in-app service group to discuss plans, ask travel questions and get local information from a real person. When needed, the partner can also assist in person within the service area. General service hours are 09:00–17:00 in the destination's local time. The SOS alert feature is available 24 hours a day.

The service is priced per traveler and per day. Each one-time in-app purchase covers one traveler for the selected service days. You can pay for companions one at a time and invite them to the same group, or companions can pay for themselves. The store shows the actual price and currency for each traveler before confirmation. This service does not renew automatically and is separate from monthly merchant subscriptions. Available areas, service days and partner capacity are shown in the app.

Background location
When you enable Background Location, Mibu collects and uses location even when closed or not in use to keep nearby Plaza and SOS notifications relevant to your current area. If you separately enable Nearby Offers, these locations also help find nearby offers. After you deliberately send an SOS, your location continues updating until that SOS ends. Turning off Background Location stops general background updates.

Merchant subscriptions
Merchants can choose monthly auto-renewing Pro or Premium account plans, or a Pro or Premium plan for an individual store. Account and store plans are billed separately. The price is displayed before purchase. Payment is charged to your Google Play account upon confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the next renewal. Manage or cancel in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions, or restore purchases in the app.
