Reveille - Talking Alarm Clock

Reveille is an alarm clock for people who switch alarms off in their sleep and wake up late anyway.

WAKE-UP MISSIONS
Your alarm does not stop until you prove you are awake. Solve maths, type out a phrase, clear a memory grid, repeat a pattern, shake your phone, do squats, walk a set number of steps, scan a QR code you stuck to the bathroom mirror, photograph a specific object, or hunt down an everyday item with your camera. Chain up to five in a row.

AI WAKE-UP SOUNDS
Describe the sound you want and Reveille creates it for you. A voice that yells at you, a calm morning build-up, or something ridiculous enough that you get out of bed. Everything you make is saved in one place and any alarm can use it.

VIDEO BACKGROUNDS
Play a looping video behind the ringing alarm, with its own sound or with the alarm sound you picked.

STRICT MODE
For heavy sleepers. Strict mode blocks Home, Recents and the volume buttons, and brings the alarm screen back if you leave it, until the mission is solved.

WHEN A MISSION IS IMPOSSIBLE
If you wake up somewhere else and the QR code or the object simply is not there, Reveille offers you a way out after a few minutes so you can never be trapped by your own alarm.

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE DISCLOSURE

Reveille uses Android's AccessibilityService API for one optional feature: "Prevent power off", found inside Strict mode when you edit an alarm.

When you turn it on for an alarm, and only while that alarm is actually ringing, the service does one thing. If the power menu, the notification shade or the voice assistant is opened over the ringing alarm, it performs the Home and Back actions to close it and brings the alarm screen back, so the alarm cannot be silenced without completing your mission. These are the same two actions you can perform yourself with your phone's own buttons.
