Cat on Road

Cat on Road is a timing-based crossing challenge where the player guides a character moving step by step across a road environment using interactive input. The character begins each session on the sidewalk and progresses by tapping the “Go” button to move onto the next manhole.

In Cat on Road, each successful step places the character onto a manhole, and this action triggers an automatic barrier that helps control vehicle movement. Cars move unpredictably along the road and react to these barriers by stopping when they are placed in time.

The main objective is to continue advancing across the road by reaching as many manholes as possible without being hit. If a vehicle manages to pass a barrier and collides with the character, the run ends immediately. The character is then returned to the starting position, and a new attempt begins with the score reset.

Progress is measured by the number of successfully crossed manholes. This value represents the main score of the session and is stored in the Records system when it is greater than zero. Records are also preserved when the session is properly interrupted, such as exiting to the menu or closing the application.

The gameplay is structured as an endless challenge that continues until a collision occurs. Each attempt focuses on timing, awareness of vehicle movement, and correct use of movement input to progress safely.

When the application is minimized or the user switches to another task, the game automatically pauses and displays a pause window. Upon returning, the session resumes from the same point after closing the pause interface.

Cat on Road focuses on step-based progression, timing accuracy, and controlled risk, where every move determines how far the character can safely travel across the road.
