Well-intentioned app where the creator refuses to acknowledge the real privacy issues, publication of potentially identifying information without consent, and potential for abuse. I don't know if the creator is a techbro, but the mindset is typical of someone who's never had to worry about the overlap between online spaces and personal safety. I just live in the area and have befriended some of these cats. It's weird and creepy to be tracking them and making that information available to all.
