CampScout

CampScout watches Recreation.gov campgrounds for you, so you don't have to keep refreshing the booking page yourself.

Popular campgrounds book up in seconds the moment a new booking window opens — and cancellations can open up a site at any hour of the day. CampScout checks in the background and sends you a push notification the instant a site becomes available for the dates you want.

FEATURES

• Campsite Alerts — Pick a campground, a date range, and site preferences (loop, accessibility, equipment type), and CampScout will watch it for you.
• Area Alerts — Don't have a specific campground in mind? Drop a pin and radius on the map and get notified when any matching site opens nearby.
• Near Me — Search and sort campgrounds by distance from your current location.
• Favorites — Save campgrounds you return to often for quick access.
• Release Reminders — For campgrounds that haven't opened their booking window yet, get a reminder right when booking opens.
• Add to Calendar — Add a confirmed reservation's dates straight to your phone's calendar.
• Park Info — See National Park Service photos, descriptions, and regulations right alongside your search results.
• Directions — Jump straight to turn-by-turn navigation once you've picked a site.

FREE VS. PRO

The free tier includes 1 active alert with checks every 3 hours — enough to keep an eye on one upcoming trip.

CampScout Pro removes the alert limit and checks every 10 minutes, so you hear about an opening while it's still available. Don't need an ongoing subscription? A 30-Day Scan Credit gives one alert fast, 10-minute scanning for a single upcoming trip with no subscription required.

CampScout is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Recreation.gov or the National Park Service.
