Cam10: Digicam Simulator

Cam10 is a retro camera app that recreates how digicams and early phone cameras rendered photos around 2010, before computational photography and AI processing made everything look too ‘artificial.’ Whether you call it a retro cam, a vintage digital camera or an old phone camera, if you miss the look of a Y2K point-and-shoot or the iPhone 4 era, this is that look, made properly.

The look is baked in at capture. You point, shoot, and the photo is developed the way that era's hardware would have developed it, including the optical quirks modern pipelines remove: soft corners, highlight glow, colour fringing, grain and vignetting. No editing step, no presets to fiddle with.

The image pipeline is hand-built, developed by studying hundreds of real digicam images across different lighting conditions. Photos come out social media-ready with no further touch-up.

CAMERA PROFILES

Digi - cooler and sharper, like an early digital compact and the classic CCD digicam look.
iPhone 4 - warmer and moodier, like a 2010 phone camera.
VGA (Pro) - a lo-fi 640×480 look, like a mid-2000s webcam or feature phone camera.

CAM10 PRO

Everything above is free. Cam10 Pro is an optional one-time purchase that supports development and adds the VGA camera, 1:1 square frames, and a light theme alongside the default dark one.

PRIVACY

Your photos never leave your device. There is no account, no tracking, no analytics and no uploading. The only network access Cam10 uses is Google Play billing, for the optional Pro purchase.

Photos are saved to your gallery under Pictures/Cam10.

Tuned and tested on Galaxy, Pixel and Nothing devices. Requires Android 8.0 or later.
