Freedom GPS (FGPS)

Freedom GPS allows you to share your current location with your friends and family without needing to share it with a third-party first. Many location sharing apps require you to connect to a server/service first to be able to send the location to another user. This app essentially removes the third-party and lets your phone "be the service", meaning that you and your friend's/family's devices will connect directly to each other to share the location.

App features include:

* Location sharing with any contact you add, without the need for any third-party service/server (adding securely via QR code)
* All data is securely encrypted in transit
* Temporary location sharing with selected contacts (if you only want a specific friend to see your location for an hour or so)
* Offline maps for common locations to save data
* Offline hours can be set which will tell other devices to not ask for location updates during certain hours of the day (saves battery and data, good for when you're asleep at home)
* "Locations" can be added which will tell other devices when you're at a special common location such as "Home" or "Work" where you reside often or for longer periods of time. This will tell other devices to not ask for location updates as often to preserve their and your batteries
* Set nicknames on your contacts (So if your husband or wife used their real name as their username then you can change it locally to pudding face if you want)
* Change color of contacts on map to easily tell them apart

This app has no ads, collects no data, and will be free forever. It was created to fill a need while respecting you and your information.
