Bounce Busters

Big bouncing balls are falling, and the only way out is to break them down.

Every hit splits a ball into smaller, faster pieces until the last one pops. A Large ball becomes two Mediums, each Medium becomes two Smalls, and Smalls pop. So one big ball on screen is really four problems waiting to happen, and the screen gets busier before it gets calmer.

You play a kid with a paper straw. Drag to move, and your shots fly straight up. Getting hit costs a life. You get three per level, and play carries on right where you stood instead of sending you back to the start.


HOW TO PLAY

Drag anywhere to slide left and right. Most levels fire on their own while you hold. Some fire when you lift your finger instead, so you choose the moment.

Small balls are worth the most, four times a Large. Your score measures how far you actually broke the board down, not how much you sprayed at it.


SEVEN THINGS A LEVEL CAN ASK OF YOU

Clear: Break down everything you are allowed to shoot.
Survive: Stay alive until the clock runs out while balls keep coming.
Protect: Something on the ground has to survive as well as you.
Sharpshooter: A limited number of shots. Every one has to count.
Targets: Pop the marked balls only, and leave the rest alone.
Rescue: Free the critters and catch them before they hit the ground.
Boss: Strip the armor plates, then break the boss down.


THREE WAYS TO PLAY

World Tour: Ten worlds of twenty levels, two hundred in all, each with its own goal and up to three stars.

Bounce Rush: Endless play. Wave after wave, three lives for the whole run, extra lives at score milestones, and a place on the online leaderboard.

Daily Dare: One special level a day, the same for everyone, one attempt. Fifteen challenges rotate through the calendar with three layouts each, so it is a long time before you see the same board twice.


BALLS THAT DO NOT PLAY FAIR

Gold pays bonus tickets. Armored has to have its shell stripped first. Rubber bounces your shots off its belly, so you have to catch it on the flank. Balloons float up instead of falling. Splitters break into one more piece than they should. Critters have to be caught after you free them.

And thornballs, which you never shoot. The spikes go everywhere and it costs you a life. The levels that carry them are built around working around them.


STRAWS

You start with a Paper Straw and work up through the Super Plastic, Mega Wide and Turbo Charge Straws, each with upgrade steps. The Turbo Charge is the only one that charges: hold still and the next shot pierces everything in its line.

There is special ammo too, bought by the shot or caught when a ball drops it. Steel punches through a whole column. Tri-Shot spreads. Gumball hangs from the ceiling and splits whatever touches it. Ice freezes the screen. Poppers clear a radius. A Shield absorbs one hit.


NO ENERGY SYSTEM. NO TIMERS ON PLAY.

Play as long as you like. Tickets are earned from first clears, gold balls and the daily, and they make progress faster. They never decide whether you can play.
