KALKAN: SMS & Call Blocker

On-device protection from spam and scams.

KALKAN checks incoming messages on your phone and holds suspicious ones in quarantine, so they never mix into your inbox.

Your messages stay on your device. KALKAN never sends message content to any server — filtering runs entirely on your phone.

KALKAN WORKS AS YOUR DEFAULT SMS APP
Android requires an app to be the default SMS app in order to quarantine a message before it reaches your inbox. That is why KALKAN is a full messaging app: it shows your conversations, sends messages, and receives and sends multimedia messages. You can remove the role at any time, and KALKAN stops all message access immediately.

WHAT IT DOES
• Quarantines spam and scam messages so they never mix into your inbox
• Screens incoming calls against your own block list and KALKAN's verified list
• Lets you check a suspicious message, link or number by hand
• Explains in plain language why it flagged something
• One tap to restore a message that was filtered by mistake
• Your own allow and block lists

BLOCKING AND SPAM-LIST CRITERIA
KALKAN keeps two separate lists, and a number never moves from one to the other on its own.

1. Your own block list — only numbers you add by hand. The app never adds a number here automatically.
2. KALKAN's verified list — only numbers backed by an authoritative source: published by a regulator or law-enforcement body, listed on a carrier's fraud list, or received by KALKAN's own verified trap line. User reports are a supporting signal only and can never, by themselves, put a number on this list.

The verified list ships empty rather than carrying unverified entries, so call protection works from your own list until verified data is published. Message analysis is separate: a message can be flagged as risky without its sender being added to any list.

PRIVACY
• KALKAN never sends message content to any server
• No ads, no behavioural tracking
• Your contacts are not accessed
• Quarantined messages stay in your phone's message storage, so uninstalling KALKAN does not delete them
• If your phone backs up text messages, quarantined messages may be included like your other messages

Internet is used only to download threat-database updates. That request carries no message content, no phone numbers and no links.

PRICING
KALKAN is a one-time paid app. You pay once, at download — no recurring charges, no in-app purchases, no ads. Every feature is included.
