The Build Your Own R2-D2 Chrome extension is a remote control app designed specifically for DeAgostini's R2-D2 robot. Once your R2-D2 is fully assembled and powered, this app lets you pair your smartphone directly or via local WiFi to control the droid's advanced features seamlessly.

With Video Control mode, you get a live camera feed from R2-D2's perspective, enabling you to drive him remotely, capture photos and videos, and explore automatic routines such as autonomous patrol, light and sound activation, lightsaber ejection, and video projector clips. Normal Control mode offers traditional remote control functionality alongside the same smart routines. Additional settings include voice recognition for command execution and facial recognition to have R2-D2 follow a human face, making this app the perfect companion to bring your droid to life.

This goes out to all who has left a review. This app is not getting any updates I bought this when the company was deagostini now fanhome. The app is exactly the same when I first downloaded it the only update we got was different languages. These people have ripped us off with the price of this. They have charged us all extortionate price for shoddy parts. Camera is useless voice commands don't work due to poor mic. And the reason the wifi does not work is because camera not scan bar code.

Shame on De Agastini! The audacity to charge $1,600 for this and the camera will not take a pic or record a video. Voice commands do NOT work. Bumps into things when it shouldn't because the sensors only work some of the time. I should file a class action lawsuit against this company. Look at all the negative reviews! No response from them either! Shame on you!
