Estimate construction materials, quantities, waste, and project costs offline.
BuildQuant is a practical construction material estimator designed to help homeowners, technicians, renovators, and contractors plan material quantities for building and renovation projects.
The app provides clear calculation tools for common construction materials and measurements. Enter the required dimensions, choose the measurement unit, set a waste percentage, and BuildQuant will display the estimated quantity with a simple calculation breakdown.
Available calculators
• Paint Estimator
Estimate the amount of paint required for walls and ceilings. Add doors and windows, select the number of coats, enter the product coverage, and include a waste allowance.
• Concrete Estimator
Calculate concrete volume for slabs, footings, trenches, rectangular columns, and circular columns. Results can be displayed in cubic meters, cubic feet, and cubic yards.
• Tile Estimator
Estimate the number of tiles and boxes required for floors or walls based on surface dimensions, tile size, grout spacing, installation pattern, and waste percentage.
• Drywall Estimator
Calculate the approximate number of drywall or plasterboard sheets needed for walls while accounting for openings and material waste.
• Brick and Block Estimator
Estimate masonry units using wall dimensions, brick or block size, mortar-joint dimensions, openings, and waste allowance.
• Lumber Estimator
Calculate lumber quantities, total length, volume, and board feet for multiple pieces and dimensions.
• Insulation Estimator
Estimate rolls, boards, batts, or packages based on the surface area, product coverage, openings, and waste percentage.
• Quick Measurement Tools
Calculate the area of rectangles, squares, circles, triangles, and trapezoids, as well as the volume of rectangular prisms and cylinders.
Organize your projects
Create separate project workspaces and save related estimates in one place. Each project can include a name, description, measurement system, currency, material calculations, optional prices, and notes.
Saved estimates can be reviewed, edited, duplicated, moved between projects, or deleted when they are no longer needed.
Optional cost estimates
BuildQuant can calculate an estimated material cost when you enter a price per unit, piece, box, container, sheet, roll, or package. Price information is optional and is not required to calculate material quantities.
Metric and imperial measurements
The app supports metric and imperial units, including meters, centimeters, millimeters, feet, inches, square meters, square feet, cubic meters, cubic feet, liters, and US gallons.
Reports and local storage
Projects and estimates are stored locally on your device. BuildQuant does not require an account for its main features.
You can generate project summaries and export supported information as PDF or CSV files. Exported files are shared only when you choose to use your device’s sharing options.
Clear formulas and guidance
Each calculator includes an explanation of its inputs, formula, assumptions, and result. Built-in guides help users understand how to measure surfaces, apply waste percentages, interpret quantities, and review estimated costs.
Important notice
BuildQuant provides planning estimates based on the measurements and values entered by the user. Actual material requirements may vary because of product specifications, surface conditions, installation methods, cuts, breakage, construction practices, and local requirements.
Always verify measurements and product information before purchasing materials or beginning work. BuildQuant does not replace advice from a qualified engineer, architect, contractor, or other construction professional.
