SnagTape turns every property walkthrough into a straightforward defect logging experience, using the familiar visual language of color-coded painter’s tape flags stuck directly onto a virtual wall. Built for home inspectors, prospective buyers, and maintenance teams, the app helps you quickly capture issues room by room without breaking your stride. From the Dashboard you immediately see how many defects were logged today, how many are marked as High severity, and a glimpse of your most recent entries. Tapping into the All Defects tab gives you a scrollable wall of tape-strip cards, each one displaying the room name, a scribbled description, and the severity color. You can tap any strip to view full details, edit the information, or delete the defect if it’s no longer relevant. Adding a new defect is fast: choose the room, type a brief description, select Low, Medium, or High severity, and optionally snap a photo—everything is saved instantly to your device’s local storage. The By Room tab organizes your defects into expandable room groups with a count next to each, making it easy to review all issues in the kitchen or the master bath at once. When a defect has been addressed, you can mark it resolved, and the tape strip gains a small hand-drawn red X so you can tell at a glance what still needs attention. All your data stays securely on your phone; there are no accounts, no uploads, and no reliance on an internet connection. The interface mimics a painted interior wall with a baseboard, where your defect entries appear as messy handwritten notes on blue, yellow, and orange tape strips, reinforcing the tactile feel of a real inspection. Because the app uses local storage, your defect lists remain private, responsive, and always available even in basements or remote buildings with poor signal.
