FinariCast

FinariCast is the pocket almanac for anyone whose fishing daydreams point at the East and South China seas, the Sea of Japan, the Mekong flood plain, or the reef edges of Palawan. It does not chat with any server. Everything ships in the app.

What sits inside

- Species atlas. Six species — from Niigata koi through Tsugaru-strait bluefin to Vung Tau cobia — with the local name, the English name, the water they swim in and a short field note on where the local fleet chases them.
- Method book. Six regional techniques laid out end to end: fixed-line Tenkara from Gifu, Ama-style breath-hold diving off Mie, rice-ball ground-baiting on the Red River, Chao Phraya bamboo casting, kite fishing off Guangdong, and outrigger reef trolling in Palawan.
- Seasonal almanac. Six regional waters cross-referenced with the local season
— wet, amihan, post-Tet, autumn run — with a one-line "what to chase, when" tip.
- Sort-by-Weight practice deck. A drag-to-sort minigame: line the six species lightest to heaviest. Best score is remembered across sessions.
- Navigation rail on every screen makes the four sections and the minigame reachable in a single tap.

How it fits your day

Open it on the ferry over. Read one method on the drive out. Test yourself with the sort deck while the kettle boils. Nothing here needs a connection, an account, or a subscription.
