2024-07-01	Ti*****	Boxcryptor Personal has given me peace of mind for well over a decade, but they sold out to DropBox who will only offer the encryption in their business subscriptions. Consequently, I have to risk all my data and personal security while I decrypt all my files to a new drive, or lose it all when Boxcryptor locks everything for ever. I have not found anything that provides the level of security, remote access, and price in one simple package. 5 Stars for what they were. ZERO for their future.

Photos don't load until opened, clicking back takes you to the main directory (so if you are reviewing photos/videos buried under multiple folders it becomes tedious), you can't download files from the preview screen (only "Sharing", which does not include local storage) so you do need to go back to download something once you actually find it because you can't even view the file until it is opened. Using the app is extremely tedious and the search bar is useless.
Terrible UI. 2022-04-16	Jo*****	I've been really impressed with this app so far. I tried several other competitors before trying this one. I really wanted to use one of the free competitors, but they just couldn't do what I wanted in in the end. Boxcryptor does 98% of everything that I want and it is super easy to setup with Google Drive.

2022-03-12	Mi*****	First day using it but so far so good! Free version works as expected on Win 11 and Android app, using Google Drive storage. I'm impressed with the concept, although it took some time to understand exactly what was happening. Now that I get it, it's super simple. I intend to use this as a replacement for AxCrypt which crippled the free version too much :(

2022-02-27	Nu*****	I Would pay to make entire folders offline. Hear me out the app is great, but when I want to have a folder offline, i havevto choose it's contents one by one. No way to just make the entire folder offline in one go. Also after adding more files I still have to go back and make them offline. It would awesomee if the folder can be made offline and everything added just follows suit. I'd pay for this. Otherwise bummer.

2022-01-04	St*****	App works reasonably well on my S20FE. I have one large directory with folders with pictures/videos inside them and the app constantly is unable to scroll to the bottom. It keeps repeating same names. App can be quite slow even though internet connection is fast. Sometimes uploads fail or partially fail. Further a pitty shared files can not be encrypted for two persons (like on desktop is possible). Good product though as this allows me to lookup/uploadpictures in my encrypted archive .

2021-10-08	U *****	Trying to add a Local Storage in the initial setup screen crashes the app each and every time. The suggested support page doesn't have anything about that listed, email support is only for paid plans. I don't want to pay for this until i know what I'm paying for, but can't try it because it doesn't work for how i want to use it

Would be nice if it had the same functionality as the desktop app. Actually I have not found one cloud sync app on android that has this kind of feature. Don't understand why? Do you devs think, no people will not use it?! So here I will prove the opposite one user: ME who wishs to have this functionality, see it as a request for integration of arbitrary folder sync. 2021-01-21	99*****	No way to upload any photos from my device to boxcryptor. MY content is ALWAYS watermarked, so even IF MY designs end up elsewhere, buyers will STILL contact ME! Maybe youre not understanding, when i tried to upload my photos from MY devicr, my gallery, its not showing it anywhere and there are no options to do so, therefore, i cannot uplpad my photos onto Google Drive, to then be able to upload onto your encryptor. 2021-01-13	M.*****	No compatible with my old encrypted drives. Old app doesn't work on my phone. Big FU to old customers. Contacted them and they confirmed that the only solution is to buy a new computer and start over. Cannot be done via Android or ChromeOS. They have abandoned their software for a new subscription / monthly price structure. F them!
