SpeechPrivacy generates continuous random speech-like babble that helps mask your conversations from nearby listeners and makes voice recordings more difficult to understand. Whether you're discussing sensitive business matters, personal information, or confidential topics, SpeechPrivacy provides an easy way to add an extra layer of acoustic privacy.


The app uses a technique known as acoustic masking, where carefully generated background sound reduces the intelligibility of nearby speech. By making conversations harder to distinguish from the masking noise, acoustic masking can help reduce the effectiveness of casual eavesdropping and unauthorized audio recordings.


The app includes 5 different synthetic voices that create natural-sounding background chatter. Simply start the noise, adjust the volume, and place your phone between you and anyone who shouldn't hear your conversation.

How to use
1. Tap Start generating noise.
2. Increase your phone's volume until the masking sound matches or slightly exceeds the level of your conversation.
3. Place your phone between the people having the conversation and any potential eavesdroppers or recording devices.
4. When you're finished, tap Stop.


Best results
For the most effective speech masking:
- Keep the phone close to the conversation.
- Use a volume high enough to mask speech.
- Position the device between the speakers and the direction from which someone might be listening or recording.

Important: SpeechPrivacy is designed to help reduce the intelligibility of nearby conversations and recordings. It cannot guarantee complete protection against all recording equipment, listening techniques, or speech enhancement technologies.
