User Reviews

User reviews of BlissHome highlight that while the physical lights are attractive, the app's poor connectivity, intrusive permission requirements, and bug-ridden features create a frustrating experience. Common problems include unreliable WiFi and Bluetooth connections, lack of 5GHz WiFi support, and limited functionality with custom scenes and schedules. The invasive permission requests and unclear app navigation further diminish usability, leading many users to consider returning the product despite liking the hardware.
Pros
  • The actual light devices are visually pleasing and have beautiful lighting effects.
  • Basic functions such as selecting color schemes and speed work when the app connects successfully.
  • Some users find the ease of use acceptable once connected, indicating a potential starting point for app improvement.
  • The app supports scheduled on/off functions and custom scenes, although with limitations.
  • Customer service or company outreach includes occasional perks, like sending a free T-shirt for direct purchases.
Cons
  • The app has significant connectivity issues, frequently failing to connect via WiFi or Bluetooth and often disconnecting after setup.
  • It does not support 5GHz WiFi networks, only 2.4GHz, which complicates setup for many users.
  • The app demands excessive permissions such as location tracking and account setup, which users find invasive and unnecessary.
  • Users complain of poor app functionality: inability to set schedules reliably, resetting of custom scene brightness daily, and glitches like lights turning on at full brightness randomly.
  • Poor app user experience includes confusing navigation, lack of clear documentation, and unresponsiveness from developers.

Terrible app super hard to control what you want. I wanted to be able to switch what theme my evolve is using based on the time of day with the schedule but the app is so lacking in function you can't do that. It's also hard to program the light with the terrible settings. It makes me wish I would have gotten a different light than the evolve that has a functional app. If you are thinking about getting an evolve light, don't. The app is the only way to control it and it's nothing but painful.

I have an older bliss light 2.0, and my phone was stolen. So I went to re download the App when I got a new phone. I tried scanning the QR Code on the bottom of my light that promised to link me the app, but it gave me an error page. I tried looking up the website to get it, but the legacy app wasn't downloading. So I tried the only one on the play store, thinking you integrated/updated the app, and it will not find or connect with my light. I'm upset because now I cannot really use my light
