About performance.
According to the Play Store policy regarding the use of the "Access to all files" permission, application performance has a lower priority and cannot be a reason for obtaining it. Therefore, this application uses SAF (Storage Access Framework), which has a huge performance impact, especially when recursively traversing directories with a large number of small files.

The only Android app I've found - so far - that can batch generate md5 checksums for multiple files in a folder, including subfolders, outputting a relative path, so that the output file can then be used to compare and verify file integrity. Much like Rapid CRC on Windows, etc. The in-app ads take up an extremely modest space in the bottom of the screen real estate, covering about 1/30 of the vertical space in the app. I'd deem that as fair and non-intrusive. No ad splash screens so far.
