SlideShow scans image metadata in the background instead of loading thousands of images into memory at once. Images are loaded and cached as needed, providing smooth playback even when working with large photo collections.

### USB OTG Support

Browse photos stored on USB flash drives and other compatible USB storage devices using Android's Storage Access Framework. Simply connect your USB drive, choose a folder, and start your slideshow.

If a USB device is removed, a folder is deleted, or access permission is revoked, SlideShow handles the situation gracefully and provides a helpful message instead of crashing.

SlideShow does not require root access and does not need broad storage permissions. You choose which folder the app can access, and that folder access can be remembered for future use.
