NETRAM

The “NETRAM (Network for Encroachment Tracking and Reporting for
Mumbai)” portal has been developed to enable technology-driven rapid detection and removal
of slum encroachments within the jurisdiction of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
The portal has been implemented by the Slum Rehabilitation Authority, Brihanmumbai in
collaboration with BISAG-N. Satellite imagery of 30cm resolution for the years 2000, 2011,
and 2025 has been analyzed using the periodically Change Detection method, and details of
encroachments have been made available through the web portal and mobile application.
