MACsposed Android

MACsposed

Add support for MAC Address spoofing to Android 12 through 15!

Features & Capabilities

MACsposed is a powerful Xposed module designed to restore and enhance MAC address spoofing capabilities on rooted Android devices running versions 12 through 15. Traditionally, rooted users found it easy to set custom MAC addresses, but Google's MAC address randomization feature implemented from Android 12 onward has complicated this process by dynamically changing MAC addresses whenever the network state changes.

With MACsposed, users can block this randomization, regain control over their device's MAC address, and spoof it as desired. The extension offers a user-friendly interface for easy spoofing and supports integration with other spoofing tools, allowing users to maintain their preferred workflow. Note that MACsposed requires the LSPosed variant of the Xposed framework and a rooted device; it is a paid extension with subscription or lifetime license options. Use responsibly, as incorrect usage may cause device instability or bootloops.

User Reviews

MACsposed is a lightweight and potentially useful app for changing MAC addresses on rooted devices. However, many users complain about the app not working on their devices, especially newer Android versions. The switch from a free to paid model caused dissatisfaction and accusations of bait and switch. Additionally, root requirements and functionality issues, such as inability to change MAC or open the app properly, affect the overall user experience.
Pros
  • App is very small in size (around 1MB) which is convenient.
  • App is useful and works well on some devices.
  • Interface seems simple and does what it claims to do.
  • Some users found it effective and gave positive feedback.
Cons
  • App requires root access which is not clearly communicated to all users.
  • Recent updates have made the app paid instead of free, causing dissatisfaction.
  • App fails to work properly on certain devices, especially newer Android versions like Android 15 on Pixel 6a.
  • Inability to actually change MAC address on some devices despite following steps.
  • Some users experienced issues opening or running the app, including toggle in quick settings not functioning.
