Signet — Volunteer Hours

Signet keeps track of the hours you volunteer, and turns them into a document
your supervisor can sign.

Most volunteer tracking apps are built for the organization, not for you: they
only work if the charity you help already pays for the platform. Signet is the
other way round. It is yours, it needs no account, and it works whether or not
anyone else uses software.

WHY A SIGNATURE
A list of hours you typed yourself proves nothing. Signet lets you hand your
phone to your supervisor so they can sign with a finger, right there. Their
name, their role and the date are printed under the signature on the PDF. That
is what makes the document worth handing in.

WHAT IT DOES
• Start a timer when you arrive, stop it when you leave
• Or enter hours later, from memory — including shifts that run past midnight
• Keep several organizations, each with its own supervisor
• See your total for the week, the month, the year
• Set a target — 40 hours for graduation, or whatever you were asked for
• Produce a PDF report, signed or unsigned, and share it by email or messaging
• Export a CSV to open in Excel or Sheets
• Keep every signed report, and produce it again months later

BUILT FOR REAL SHIFTS
The timer reads the clock rather than counting ticks, so it stays right when you
put your phone away for four hours, when the screen turns off, and even when
Android kills the app. You come back, you stop it, the number is correct.

AN HONEST RECORD
Each entry keeps its own copy of the organization name and the supervisor at the
time. Rename an organization later and your old reports do not change. A signed
report is a snapshot: adding a forgotten shift in March will never alter a
document someone signed in January.

NO ACCOUNT, NO SERVER
Everything stays on your phone. There is no sign-up, no cloud, no sync. Nothing
about your volunteering is sent anywhere. That also means there is no backup: if
you uninstall the app, the log goes with it — export what matters.

WHO IT IS FOR
Students with community service hours to complete. Volunteers at food banks,
animal shelters, parishes, sports clubs, festivals, hospitals. Anyone whose
organization does not run volunteer software but still needs to vouch for them.

ELEVEN LANGUAGES
English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Hindi,
Bengali and Indonesian.

Signet is free and supported by ads. Watching an optional ad unlocks your
organization's logo at the top of the document for 24 hours. The report itself
is never behind an ad — it is the reason the app exists.

A word on what Signet is not: it is not a certified or tamper-proof record. Your
data lives on your phone and you can edit it. What gives the document its weight
is the signature of the person who supervised you, not the storage.
