Group jigsaw game: every phone holds one piece of the same picture.

Overview

Features & Capabilities

PieceRelay is a social party app with two game modes for groups where every player uses their own phone: PieceRelay and PanicRelay.
In PieceRelay, the app splits one image into as many parts as there are phones in the game. Each player solves their own fragment on their screen. Then everyone places their phones next to each other on the table and moves them until the fragments match. Once the layout is correct, a shared finale plays across all screens at the same time.
In PanicRelay, the game becomes a fast bomb relay. The active player solves a puzzle under time pressure, then passes the bomb to the next phone. Players place two phones edge to edge and drag the bomb from one screen to another before time runs out.
You need several Android phones, one per player, in the same room. The app must be installed on every phone and each device needs an internet connection. The game is not designed for playing on a single phone.
How PieceRelay works
The host creates a room, chooses an image, sets the timer, and selects the puzzle size.
Other players join by scanning the host’s QR code or entering the six-character room code.
Each player solves their assigned image fragment.
Players place their phones on the table so the fragments form one complete picture.
The app verifies the layout with arrows shown on touching phone edges.
After verification, the synchronized finale starts on all devices.
How PanicRelay works
The host creates a PanicRelay room and chooses the bomb settings.
Players join by QR code or room code.
The active player solves a puzzle before time runs out.
After solving, they pass the bomb to the next phone.
The next player catches the bomb from the screen edge and solves their part.
Once everyone has played, the app shows the finale or defuse code.
