BC Prehab is an evidence-informed perioperative medication management reference, built by the BC Prehab Faculty supported by the Perioperative Clinical Action Network (PCAN). It transforms hold-and-continue medication decisions into a clear, date-specific surgical timeline — designed for anesthesiologists, surgeons, internists, family physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and allied health professionals.

This app is a clinical decision-support reference. It does not replace clinical judgement or individualised patient assessment.

📂 MEDICATION DATABASE
Hundreds of brand and generic entries, searchable by name or drug class. Where individualised assessment is required, entries are prefixed — "Unless advised otherwise by your care team:" — so the boundary between reference and clinical judgement is always clear.

📅 PERSONALISED SURGICAL TIMELINE
Enter a surgical date; the app calculates the exact calendar date for each medication action. Colour- and shape-coded for full accessibility, including red-green colourblind support.

📷 SCANRX: MEDICATION SCANNER (BETA)
Take or import a photo of a prescription label, medication list, or packaging. On-device recognition surfaces matching database entries for clinician confirmation — no image is uploaded to any server.

📄 PHYSICIAN + PATIENT PDF EXPORTS
One tap generates two distinct PDFs: a physician summary with clinical rationale and references, and a patient-friendly handout with plain-language instructions and calculated dates.
