Vision Theremin : Wire Synth

Experience the ultimate futuristic musical instrument with Vision Theremin : Wire Synth. Transform your Android device into an expressive, touchless optical synthesizer powered by on-device computer vision and real-time hand gesture tracking.

Inspired by the classic theremin invented by Leon Theremin, Vision Theremin brings contactless music performance into the modern era. Using advanced machine learning and 21 landmark hand tracking, the app tracks the physical position and movement of both hands in front of your camera, giving you continuous and expressive control over pitch, volume, timbre, and spatial audio effects.

KEY FEATURES AND CAPABILITIES

1. Touchless Dual-Hand Performance Control
- Right Hand (Pitch Control): Move your hand horizontally and vertically across the camera frame to control audio frequency and musical pitch.
- Left Hand (Volume Dynamics & Mute Gestures): Elevate your hand to modulate loudness smoothly. Close your fist to instantly mute the oscillator or open your hand wide for expressive volume swells and dynamics.
- Natural Vibrato: Express subtle vibrato and microtonal inflections with delicate hand and finger oscillations in 3D space.

2. Professional Real-Time Native Audio Engine
- Built with high-performance C++ and Google Oboe for ultra-low latency audio processing through AAudio and OpenSL ES.
- Real-time lock-free circular ring buffer audio visualization provides instantaneous visual feedback of synthesized waveforms.
- Zero audio glitching and high-fidelity 48kHz audio sampling rates.

3. Versatile Oscillator Waveforms & Synthesis
- Sine Wave: Pure, warm, vintage theremin tone ideal for classical, ambient, and sci-fi leads.
- Triangle Wave: Rich in odd harmonics for gentle, mellow acoustic-like timbres.
- Sawtooth Wave: Bright, cutting harmonics suitable for synth leads, EDM, and basslines.
- Square / Pulse Wave: Dynamic square wave synthesis with customizable Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) slider ranging from 10% to 90%.

4. Comprehensive Scale Quantization (13 Musical Scales)
- Free Pitch Mode: Traditional continuous theremin glissando and microtonal pitch gliding.
- Quantize Mode: Snap continuous hand positions directly to exact musical notes and semi-tones.
- 13 Selectable Musical Scales: Major (Ionian), Natural Minor, Harmonic Minor, Melodic Minor, Pentatonic Major, Pentatonic Minor, Blues, Chromatic, Whole Tone, Dorian, Mixolydian, Japanese (In Scale / Miyakobushi), and Ryukyu.
- Root Key Selector: Transpose your scale to any key from C to B across 4 selectable octaves.
- Adjustable Portamento: Control glide transition times (0ms to 200ms) between quantized notes.

5. Built-In Studio Quality DSP Effects
- Multi-Mode BiQuad Filter: Switchable Low-Pass and High-Pass filters with frequency cutoff (100 Hz to 10,000 Hz) and resonance (Q factor) controls.
- Stereo Delay: Synchronized echo effect with adjustable delay time (50ms to 1000ms), feedback loop ratio, and wet mix balance.
- Spatial Reverb: Acoustic room simulation with customizable room size, high-frequency damping, and reverb mix levels.

6. Interactive 3D Wireframe Overlay & Visual Feedback
- Glowing cybernetic hand skeletons map your physical joints directly to on-screen interactive grids.
- Real-time frequency HUD displays instantaneous musical note names (e.g., A4, C#5), octave levels, and exact Hertz frequencies.
- On-screen pitch grid overlay assists beginners with visual guide lines for precise pitch targeting.

7. Privacy-First and 100% On-Device Processing
- Hand landmark detection and video frame analysis run entirely locally on

Whether you are an electronic musician, sound designer, live performer, or curious synth enthusiast, Vision Theremin : Wire Synth provides an intuitive, futuristic, and accessible musical experience right in the palm of your hand.
