Bar & Grind

Bar & Grind is a calm, private workout log built around the most underrated hours of the day — the late-night ones, when the gym is finally quiet and the only light comes from the neon over the door. Every exercise on your shelf is a vintage ENAMEL SIGN bolted to the brick wall with brass screws; every set you lift is rung up like a ticket on the receipt under the sign; every personal record is lit up in sodium-orange neon. The interface is a small late-night gym you keep in your pocket: dim brick-wall background, warm neon orange accents, cool blue secondary marks, brushed brass, and cream vinyl decals.

THE FLOOR · The home screen
The home screen is the front of the shop. A NEW TOP HORIZONTAL NAV STRIP runs across the very top — HOME (active, neon-orange with a glowing underline), RECORDS, RACK — laying out the three sections in a row instead of the previous left-rail. The brand "BAR & GRIND" sits big in the centre with the ampersand in cool blue NEON, a soft halo of orange glow around the letters, and the italic tagline "open · late · every · night" in brass. Beneath the brand, a BRUSHED-BRASS GAUGE CLUSTER replaces the usual stat strip: three speedometer-style brass dials, each with a needle that sweeps across a 270-degree arc — one for TONNAGE (today's volume in your chosen unit), one for SETS (today), and one for the DAY RUN streak. An engraved brass plate underneath reads "ESTABLISHED · MMXXVI".

The TONIGHT'S GRIND section lists every exercise you've already touched today as its own RECEIPT-STYLE SIGN CARD: a coloured enamel side-flange on the LEFT, the exercise name in big stenciled serif, a meta line ("4× · 1,250kg · CHEST"), a "+" pin to ring up another set, a dotted-receipt divider, and below — set lines that read like a register tape: index, weight × reps, with a "★ NEON PR" badge that glows in the same orange as the sign for record sets. Long-press a set to scrub it.

ON THE WALL shows the rest of the catalogue as ENAMEL SIGNS — full coloured tiles with stenciled all-caps exercise names, brass screws in all four corners, EST. category kicker line, primary muscle, and the best PR underneath. They look like real signs nailed up on a workshop wall. A LAST TWO WEEKS chart at the bottom is a NEON EQUALIZER: vertical orange bars that glow with the same drop-shadow as the sign, each day's bar height proportional to its volume.

THE FAB has moved AGAIN: instead of the top-right pill (Plates) or a centred FAB above a tab bar (Forge), Bar & Grind puts a wide BOTTOM-CENTRE NEON PILL labelled "● CLOCK IN" with a heavy orange glow halo, floating just above the system bar. Tap it to pick a lift and ring up a set.

THE TICKET · Exercise detail (CipherDay)
Tap an exercise to drop into its full record. A coloured-stripe hero shows name and muscle. THE PR CARD shows the heaviest single set you've ever done in big serif, with estimated 1RM, total sets, and total volume below. A "● RING UP A SET" button kicks off the modal. Every set you've ever done is grouped by day, newest first — each line shows the index, weight × reps, estimated 1RM, and ★ PR badge if it set a record. Long-press a set to scrub it from the night's tally.
