(Morocco national football team), nicknamed the "Atlas Lions", represents Morocco in international men's football competitions. It dates back to 1916.
It participated in 18 final stages of the African Cup of Nations, which it was able to win only once in 1976. It reached the final in 2004 and finished third in 1980. In the 1986 World Cup, the Moroccan national team was able to qualify for the first round after qualifying in the group stages with a performance worthy of the greatest.
At the global level, the team participated in six final stages of the FIFA World Cup, and its best result was reaching the round of 16 (0-1 defeat against Germany in 1986).
